Three phases in the process of creating jewels

Once the design is prepared, the 3D model is printed in wax and casted the same way normal microfusion procedures do, to turn into metal and get the mould.

The T66 printer from Solidscape is able to print jewels with high precision. It is especially indicated for mass production. Jewels can be made out of pieces that fit perfectly, which makes the process of revision and polishing much easier.
With this technology, a professional can develop now projects that were impossible to make before due to the technical hindrances. The new technology opens a new dimension to the design and creation of more original and creative pieces.

The printer uses two types of wax. The red one works as the support of the projecting or void elements. It can be removed with thinner, leaving the original printed on green/blue wax, ready to melt.
